Almond Matcha Energy Bites

An incredibly convenient, calorie-dense performance snack engineered specifically to fuel highly active lifestyles without requiring refrigeration or preparation work at the beach. Almond butter serves as a source of monounsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E. Matcha powder offers sustained focus without energy spikes. Almond matcha energy bites are a great snack option between meals or between training sessions.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 2 tablespoons smooth almond butter

  • 1/2 cup chopped dried apricots

  • 3 tablespoons ground flaxseed

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon pure matcha green tea powder

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons water (as needed for binding)


Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, chopped dried apricots, ground flaxseed, and matcha powder until uniform.

  2. Add the smooth almond butter and honey to the mixture, stirring firmly to create a thick dough.

  3. Slowly drizzle in water a teaspoon at a time if the mixture is dry, mixing until it easily holds its shape.

  4. Roll the mixture between your palms to shape into desired portion-sized energy bites.


This full recipe is about 580 calories and 70 grams carbohydrates.

If you roll out 6 bites they will be about 95 calories and 11.5 grams carbs each.
