Chocolate Chip Banana Pre-Workout Mini Muffins

Freshly baked chocolate chip muffins cool in metal trays on a wooden board. The golden brown muffins create a warm, inviting scene.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour

  • 4 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 flax egg

  • 1 cup water

  • 3 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

  • 1 banana


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl until smooth.

  3. Scoop batter into mini muffin trays. (makes about 24 mini muffins)

  4. Bake for 14 minutes.


Approx. 125 calories and 20g carbohydrates per mini muffin. Eat 2-3 before an hour-long training session for increased energy. Great for early mornings.
