Eating a balanced meal that includes all food groups is crucial for overall health and well-being. Each food group provides essential nutrients—proteins for muscle repair, carbohydrates for energy, healthy fats for brain function, and vitamins and minerals from fruits, vegetables, and grains. Together, they support bodily functions, improve energy levels, and help maintain a healthy weight, while reducing the risk of chronic diseases.
This is my secret formula. Aim for most meals to include some produce, protein, starch, and healthy fats. If you can do this most of the time, then you are likely getting all of the nutrients that you need.
